What is Rice Vinegar?

I recently came across a recipe for rice vinegar on a blog called Rice Vinegars, and I was intrigued by it.

I had never heard of rice vinegar before, and so, after a little research, I decided to make my own.

Rice vinegar is a relatively new ingredient, though, so I figured I would give it a try.

Ingredients for rice wine vinegar: 1 tbsp.

soy sauce (or other water-free sauce) 2-3 tbsp.

rice vinegar 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup rice flour 1 tsp.

salt 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced 2 tsp.

freshly grated ginger root (optional) Directions: In a saucepan, heat up a bit of water.

Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger.

Bring to a boil, then lower the heat.

Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the water is very hot.

Stir in the ginger, garlic, and spices.

Let it simmer for a bit longer, and then pour into a glass bowl.


Notes If you want to save some time, you can use rice vinegar instead of soy sauce.
