Puerto Rico’s rice prices hit $9 per bushel

Puerto Rico was one of the most expensive places in the world to grow rice last year.

The price tag is now a record $9.60 per bushe.

The island is also the only U.S. state with no shortage of corn and other grains.

Puerto Rico, which is a U..

S.-designated American territory, is the first U.K.-designate territory in the Caribbean, which includes Dominica.

The U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization said in a report that Puerto Rico needed to import up to 1 million tons of rice by June to meet the demand.

The rice is a key staple in the island’s economy.

Puerto Ricans say they have been left out of the economic recovery and are concerned about the future of their food supply.
